The policy does not pay out in situations defined as exclusions in the signed contract between the insurer (AXA Aurora Vida) and you. The main exclusions include: accidents while practicing high-risk sports, professional aviation, bullfighting-related work, and pre-existing conditions not disclosed in the health questionnaire at signup. Suicide is not covered during the first year of the policy.

Your Life5 policy is designed for residents of Spain. Short trips abroad (under 30 days) are covered. Two exclusions matter:

• Stays abroad longer than 30 days are not covered — claims that occur during a trip or posting longer than 30 days outside Spain are excluded.
• Travel to countries classified by the Spanish Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores as "not recommended for travel" is excluded, regardless of trip length.

The choice of beneficiary is personal. The person you name receives the payout and decides how to use it.

Who depends on your income and will need financial support when you're gone? Your spouse is the most common choice, as they share daily expenses and often have shared debts (mortgage). Children are also a common choice, especially if they're still minors or studying.
